Walking a new townships is always something exiting. In particular if you get away from the larger cities with their uniform shopping malls and ever present national or global brands.
Window shopping in smaller towns can be varied and exiting, sometimes because the decoration has not changed for ages.
Then cross the street and look at the building facades and gables. They tell their own story. Sories of love by their owners, creativity, preserving or hardship and neglect. Good and bad economic times.
Try to imagine how generations before you saw these facades. How they may have lived. What they have thought and felt. a whole new, old, world can open up.
