The long road

The South Island of New Zealand is an amazing place.

If you travel west to east, you experience a cross section of Europe over just a short distance. From the wild Tasman sea coast, which can look like the mediterranen or the storm battered North Sea, over the high alps, which can resamble the highest mountains in Europe, along lakes and down to sheep spotted plains right over to the Indian Ocean.

Almost everything is there, except crowds of people, the different cultures and languages.

But an amazing country and ideal if you like to immerse in solitude and nature.

Once the borders open again, I look forward visiting New Zealand again.
